We reinforce the importance of character development, proactive mental focus, and future planning to maximize student-athletes’ competitive experiences and desired outcomes. One-on-one sessions, small groups, and large-scale events are the usual settings for this initiative.

Student-Athlete recognition is the flagship initiative of the STAR Foundation. We celebrate over 60 student-athletes each year for their academic, athletic, and outreach efforts. Our annual banquet provides us an opportunity to celebrate these student-athletes by providing them with a monetary award for their continuing education in collaboration with our community partners.

Our focus is to provide opportunities for students to discover or engage their interest in health and medical science. Through clinical observation, classroom engagements, and shadowing opportunities with our affiliates, we provide multiple avenues for students, educators, and the community to gain healthcare knowledge.

Community Partners are the foundation of the vision of the STAR Foundation. We seek to collaborate across all industries with marketing opportunities, scholarships, shadowing, recruitment, strategic alignments, networking, and community initiatives. Through planning, analytics, and evaluation we build strategies that are mutually beneficial and fulfill the vision of the foundation.

Our goals in outreach are to support projects that are unique in their approach, related to the orthopedic industry, have an international opportunity, or are connected to our community partners. We are able to facilitate volunteerism, provide or seek resources, and navigate connections to help projects reach their maximum potential.
